Alumna Dr. Deborah Riczo, PT, MEd, DPT owner of Riczo Health Education understands the role health and wellness plays in our career success and ultimately our overall happiness. On November 14, she'll join us for our Women's Leadership Conversation series exploring how we can improve our work output, our creativity and our leadership.  She will lead a rich discussion on how we can make the most of who we are and what we bring to the table.  Conversations will focus on the 5 tips below and is guaranteed to be thought provoking and meaningful.  Space is limited so register today to reserve your seat, engage in this meaningful conversation and enjoy a great breakfast!

  1. Work smarter not harder.  Long hours do not necessarily = a better output.  Quality not quantity is important.  How do we do this?
  2. Connect with your body.  Respect physical needs that support mental processing.  Issues can include: pain;  poor dietary choices including too much caffeine, alcohol, sugar and fat; lack of sleep, exercise, family/friend time, stress management.  What does the research say?
  3. Know your values.  Identify what is important to you and do not be afraid to voice those things.  Values of trust, authenticity, dependability, responsibility. Not saying yes to everything.  What are your values?
  4. Know your long and short term goals.  unclear goals lead to unclear decisions.  Defining your goals out loud (to yourself, of course!).  Doing things that work toward your goals.  Do you know your goals?
  5. Posture says it all.  Body language and the importance in communication.  If you don't feel it, "fake it ‘til you make it".  What do you think about this strategy?
