“45th Anniversary: How Title IX Launched My Career”

The year Buffy Filippell left for college at Indiana University, Title IX became law.  And as a member of the women's tennis team, she saw firsthand the profound effect the Act had on women's collegiate athletics.  She credits the additional funding it provided the University with giving her the opportunity to play in the USTA National Collegiate Championships and gain a host of other skills that would pave the way for her highly successful career in sports business. But it doesn't stop there.  She continues to witness Title IX's lingering effect on not just collegiate athletics, but on women in business, enabling them to succeed and thrive.
