New relationship with global sports network provides platform to land dream jobs

The CSU Alumni Association recently partnered with TeamWork Online’s TeamWork U program, a tool that gives students greater access to job opportunities in the sports industry.

Buffy Filippell, one of the keynote speakers at this year’s recent Women’s Leadership Symposium, noted that the impetus for founding TeamWork Online was the injustice she experienced in college of being unfairly excluded from athletic opportunities.

TeamWork U works to remove any inequitable barriers in pursuing a career in sports.

For only $5 a month, CSU students who sign up will receive access to exclusive job openings, weekly career coaching, tips from industry insiders and success stories. Students on the TeamWork U platform increase their chances of getting hired by over 500%.

“Partnering with TeamWork online was a no-brainer,” said Brian Breittholz, Executive Director of the CSU Alumni Association.

“Whatever we can do to help our students succeed is what we’ll do.  We’re thrilled our students now have a tool of this caliber to help them land the job of their dreams.”

To date, 51 CSU students using TeamWork Online have been hired by the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Columbus Blue Jackets and the Peoria Chiefs.

With the new partnership, Cleveland State joins some of the best sports management programs in the country that give students access to TeamWork U.  Other institutions that are a part of the program include Columbia University, Duquesne University, University of North Carolina and more.
