The “Zoom-Filled Room”: A Tea Leaf Reading of the 2020 Election During the Coronavirus
Even as the coronavirus pandemic continues to keep much of the country under lockdown, campaigning for the 2020 election has already begun.
Whether it is from Joe Biden’s basement or during President Trump’s White House briefings on the coronavirus, both candidates are keeping their eyes on November. Join Edward Horowitz, associate professor in the School of Communication, in a special Zoom presentation about the campaign.
He’ll break down the race to be Joe Biden’s pick for vice president, the possible effects third-party candidates may have on the race, the ways that economic crises have affected presidents running for re-election, and whether in November we’ll all be waiting in line to vote wearing face masks.
Alumni College at Home is a showcase of Cleveland State's talented faculty presenting contemporary topics of interest to our alumni and friends. Hosted on Zoom, lectures are followed by a short conversation and Q&A session. Registration is required.
