Relax into the heat, history, and hospitality of the Southern Mississippi on this week-long riverboating experience. Spend your first night dancing around Memphis, Home of the Blues and the Birthplace of Rock and Roll, before embarking on the luxurious and stately American Queen. In Arkansas, explore the legendary Battle of Helena; or just sit back and take in an installment of King Biscuit Time, the nation’s longest-running blues radio program. Vicksburg, the “Red Carpet City of the South,” offers up a unique combination of old and new; while a rich, multicultural heritage defines Mississippi’s former capital city of Natchez, one of the oldest European settlements in the area. Wander among the 140-plus historically registered buildings in St. Francisville and the 300-year-old oak trees in the Oak Alley plantation before disembarking the American Queen in the wild and wonderful city of New Orleans.
