Tell Us Your COVID-19 story September 18, 2020

If you’d asked anyone, anywhere at the beginning of 2020, no one would have been bracing for a global pandemic.

If you’d asked anyone, anywhere at the beginning of 2020, what they planned for the year, it’s likely you would have heard the typical responses. Tightening up diets and waistlines with new fitness goals. Spending more time focusing on achieving lifelong career dreams. Finishing degrees. Vacationing. Shoring up finances. No one would have been bracing for a global pandemic. But now, some nine months into the year, face masks, hand sanitizer and social distancing are mainstays of everyday life.

The CSU Alumni Association wants to share your remarkable COVID-19 story. Perhaps you’re a healthcare professional on the frontlines offering care to those battling the virus. Let us know. Maybe your career or business flourished unexpectedly. Or maybe your industry took a significant hit, requiring you to make some unexpected changes. We’d like to hear from you. What are some other challenges you’ve faced and how have you responded? Homeschooling parents? How have you managed turning your family rooms and bedrooms into makeshift classrooms?

Any and all stories are welcome. While this is certainly a year that none of us expected, we’ve learned quite a bit about ourselves and each other. And hopefully, when this is all over, we will be better for having experienced it.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 25.
