Alumni Awards/Recognitions

Honorary Lifetime Member of the Alumni Association—Recognizes an outstanding non-CSU alumnus for exceptional contributions/service to the association/university over a long period of time. A very prestigious/selective recognition that may be awarded to up to two individuals annually.
Overcoming Odds—Recognizes an alumnus who has overcome significant odds and achieved/made a difference impacting themselves, CSU, society, etc.
David Balint Outstanding Volunteer Service—Recognizes someone for outstanding volunteer service to the Association (support of alumni activities) and/or individual college. Named in honor of long time Association volunteer, David Balint (deceased).
Outstanding Young Alumni Award—Recognizes alumni (35 and under) for outstanding professional/life/community achievements at an early age.
Outstanding Public Service Award—Recognizes an alumnus for outstanding contributions in civic life—in bettering their communities, the State, the region, the country, etc.
Outstanding Chapter Program Award—Recognizes an outstanding program sponsored by a chapter annually. Serves to recognize volunteers for their efforts and inspires others to do more/better.
Outstanding Chapter/Group Award—Recognizes one chapter/group annually for overall operational excellence.
Fascinating Alumni—An ongoing vehicle to recognize and honor alumni who are doing fascinating things with their lives and serve as powerful CSU role models.
Alumni Association Presidential Citation for Student Leadership— Recognizes student organization presidents (and/or identified outstanding leaders) from major campus organizations for their contributions to CSU. Each student will receive a certificate and custom lapel pin.
Presidential Citations— Given at the discretion of the Association’s President for mentions, service, leadership and contributions to the community.
