5 Under 35 advised current students

Seven young alumni shared their best advice with current CSU students when they served on the Young Alumni Council’s first 5 Under 35 panel on April 7. The panelists – all grads under 35 years old – advised a packed audience to get involved in campus activities and groups, take advantage of Career Services and other resources, join professional organizations while they are still students, and build their networks. Serving on the panel were: Lauren Rudman, MLRHR ’08, manager of human resources at Pentair; Samah Assad, BA’14, journalist at WEWS; Erin Huber, BS ’09, MSUS ’11, executive director and founder of Drink Local. Drink Tap; Sam O’Leary, JD ’13, attorney at Matty, Henrikson & Greve LLC; Nicholas Bucurel, MS ’10, principal engineer at Brown and Caldwell Associates; and Young Alumni Council members Shanette Buford-Brazzell, BA ’13, manager of special events, United Way of Greater Cleveland; and Anna Gibson, BBA ’12 and MLRHR ‘14, human resources administrator at Lincoln Electric.
